Windows Media Player 11 does iPods!

Fcuken sweet! I assumed I had to load up my shatty fcuken iTunes to load the Nano, low and behold WMP11 popped up asking what I should call it. I typed "FUCKEN IPOD" and sure enough im syncin away.

it dosent ask to sync with the "iPod", it asks to sync with the "USB Adapter", so it basically takes in the ipod as a usb device. it does that to my memory stick everytime i put it in. useful.

If this works, I wouldn't be suprised if Apple breaks this in the next ipod updater.

If this does work (and I have a couple of reasons to believe it doesn't really) then theoretically this violates the DMCA, unless they bought a license from Apple.

That being said that's another reason that the DMCA is a load of shit.

I stand corrected. By the time I was on my trip did I come to realize there was no music on my ipod at all. You can imagine my frustration when Play all produced fcuk all. Thanks Bill, im going to steal every M$ application I can find, even Streets and Trips. Boooooo to iTunes.

Like I said. Apple uses encryption to load up the media files so that the iTunes on your iPod can read it. If Microsoft is encoding it so that it can be played without securing a license from Apple, they are in direct violation of the DMCA.

I used to use the iPod plugin for winamp when I had my Nano, it was nice and simple plus it didn't hassle me about my gratitous piracy

I think what you did myles was load files onto the harddisk oprtionof the ipod.

I ended up eating the ipod and im currently waiting for it to pass.
when of which I will be sending it in for repairs. get the message apple...
