Not sad to see Ruutu go, he was olny good for some laughs. Not very talented. Plus he always took untimely penalties.
I know his role was to "agitate" and draw penalties, but he always took more then he drew, and that shit won't take us anywhere in the playoffs.

I'm not that sad either.

He was an agitator yes, but he always pushed it too far. Like 2 minutes or like 1 minute 45 seconds left in the game he goes and gets a roughing penalty because he'll go and push and punch some guy in the face with like less thjan 2 left.

Or he goes and gets a double minor.

Matt Cooke did the job very well Ruutu always pushed it too far in the most important times of the game

This year is going to be interesting to watch and see how the canucks develop from losing quite a few of the players that have been around for a while. I am excited at the prospects, just hope they can fill the spots with players who are willing to take the initiative
