That's not that bad. We're gonna have a deep draft next year. The main thing to keep in mind is that Cloutier has no market value after all that playoff choking and last years 13 game season. It would've been nice to have gotten another first round pick but what can you do. Like Senior said, at least we've got some cap space there. It's what we do with that, that'll be the real judgement. doesnt look to me like carter is going to stay.. Nonis still has to sign quite afew guys and he cant pay anson more than he is worth (dont worry i know he's already done that).

Nonis is doing alright, a few other teams have almost reached there cap. Nonis can still pick up many free agents, and have a bit of cash to pick up another player or two near next years playoffs.

Nonis has about 13 million to work with, but depends on if managment wants to spend that m uch.

Might only spend up to 37 mi llion which would be approx 6 million.

It's about time, all he's been good for is warming up the bench, despite the criticism that Auld got, he stepped up the plate this year and it will be sucky that he's leaving, but good move with getting rid of Cloutier

If nonis can dump Morrison's salary on another team he would most likely be able to resign Carter. Carter + Sedins = $ + Chemistry

but we gotta do something with morrison and pick up a decent center for Naslund.

the draft picks are kinda weak but the fact we got rid of cloutier 2.5 million price tag is pretty sweet.

we needed a stay at home horse to take the load off ohlund and just to be a solid every day defender.

if you judge a defenceman solely by his point production you're just showing your ignorance. i am sick of having defencemen who don't actually play defence all that well.

anyone else remember the constant 1-3 goals we'd get down by in the first? ya know what helps fix that? good solid stay at home d men. not anson carter or a top 3 forward.

Yea a solid D- core with matty O and Willie will be nice... I wish Carter would just suck it up and play for somethin like 2 mil.
But Carter was tops in goals last year on our team..so there is that respect issue of another million comes into play, but he I cant see him playin that well anywhere else and having success. The Sedins are the work horses on the line and he is the one with the right spot, right time chemistry for that line.

This type of forward is very underated, someone who plays consistently good D and also chips in with some goals.
