yeah..i was almost recruited to sell VWs for cowell volkswagen....i sold the manager a huge ass home theater system and sofa pkg and he liked me so he offerd the job and i can really close to accepting. but denied cause of the insane flexiblity and time off that my current sales gig offers

number one rule of sales. qualifying. its ALL about qualifying your customers.

qualify needs
qualify budgets
qualify urgency to buy
qualify method of payment...

and most important......most most most important. ASK FOR THE SALE. ask for the sale.dont be afraid to ask someone for their money. most people really apreciate when you want there buiness.

just ask...."so, after selecting the model wich is right for you, and comming to this great price can we write this up for you today"..

its synergy....customer wants a car and you want a sale. you are working together so you both benifit.

as soon as you try to push your customer or there is evan a hint of a "tug of war" going on the sale is dead.

Funny you mention the "tug of war". Future Shop is the worst for this. They have there heads up there asses when it come to moving product.

Where do you work. I'm going to need a phat setup for Christmas.=)

im a big box slinger at the brick.....anything for your home. my speciatly is electronics,appliances and mattresses.
