The SITAR PLAYER at the Granville St. Skytrain Station.

So..there was a SITAR PLAYER ..at the Granville street skytrain station a few days ago..
It was probably the greatest busker-esque moment i've ever had.
and there have been some pretty interesting ones..
including that guy in Victoria who made a zilaphone out of hairdryers..and other things he found out of the dumpser..
But a SITAR player..my god...I was not expecting that at all.
Im going back to hunt him down tomorrow..he made my week....all content and zen like...just doing what he do amoungst the chaos...
Not enough people just stop and listen to the music anymore..appreciate it people! Stop for a minute or two,
appreciate the fact your not walking to silence..or to bombs going off in the distance...that you have the opportunity to hear this kind of music in a SKYTRAINSTATION...soak it in..
oh and may i add..maybe (if you can manage...gasp..choke...oh the horror)stop checking your phone messages? Look up once in awhile and pay attention to the seagull who's trying desperatley to get your attention...or that old man with the bushy forests of eyebrows who's waltzing with his hands...

i really love this about vancouver. many times i've just been walking around and I was surprized to stumble apon a wonderful musician givener on the street.

I thought about this just the other day. I was on my break at work and I heard a girl talking to another girl saying ''remind me to call home when we go back to the hotel''

I thought.. wow. To those girls I'm a loccal. And I know when Im visiting places I always think man the people are SO LUCKY to live here.

Vancouver being as amasing and beautifull as it is alot of us stare at Hastings Street and say its twisted rather then looking up at the mountains.

Not to mention the diverse culture mix here...

I mean how many places in the world allow you to sit on the beach roasing in the sun when you can go for a 3 hour drive (during the right season) and go snowboarding the same day!!
