this reminds me.
In 2002 sometime I saw these weird ginseng drinks in the little asian store on my corner. I asked the guy and he said they were supposed to give you energy. So I bought one. But I never worked up the guts to drink it becuase it was the colour of pee and had a HUGE piece of ginger root in it (like bigger than a finger) and it was labeled only in Chinese, except the expiry dat which was like dec. 2002.
So it hung around my house...long past the expiry date, went through a few moves with me, waited in storage while I was in Oz for a year....then when I was going through boxes last month I found it and put it in my fridge.
My friend Jordan came over and I very casually said, "Hey you wanna try this energy drink? I don't really like them" My roomie knew how old it was and her eyes got all wide...so he took it and chugged it.
You should have seen the look on his face. He said it tasted like rotten wood. And he got really mad when I told him it expired almost 4 years ago...
