SFUers...Orientation....for a transfer student

So SFU's got its orientation business, and it will be my first semester there....I see there's different types of orientation. If I was a first year kiddie, i'd have a two day extravaganza of fun and meeting new people. That sounds cool.

However, since i'm transfering, there's a one day orientation for 'mature students and transfer students'.

This doesn't sound as fun as a bunch of freshman. Do I lie and sign up for 2 day freshman orientation, go hang out with 40 year olds heading back to school, or just skip it all and meet people at the pub?

Don't worry about it if you've only got 1 day orientation......it'll be good enough for meeting some people and learning your way around the school and how everything works

I did the freshman orientation and it was a little dragged on......they show you like EVERY place in the school...and it's a lot of walking....but i guess it's good for you......i only went to the second day because that's where we got some free shit or something, i forget....i left early.....but the second day is really just too much.

so i would suggest doing 1 orientation day just to learn what's up.....AND hit the pub.

ok, im just curious whether it will be majority of transfer students...or moreso 'mature students'.

when I did it...it seemed like everyone went to the same orientation.....but the first-years just went to the 2nd day too

everyone at orientation is a newb so whatever ur situation is, you're all in the same boat
