Sky Terror on CNN

Interesting how no one has posted this on the site yet.

Anyone watching the coverage of the latest developments and arrests made in London? Twenty-four people, two that have visited Pakistan recently, were arrested that were attempting a mass terrorist attack with the use of liquid bombs triggered by electronic devices. Security on high alert at all international airports.

Anyone travelling in the near future, expect long long delays and thorough searches. Items that cannot be brought on as carry on:

• Beverages
• Shampoo/Conditioners
• Lotions
• Contact Solution
• Makeup products
• Any liquid format

Some of the items above can be repacked into your checked baggage at some airports.

Things that are being allowed as carry on:

• Baby formula (accompanied by an infant. You may need to drink a sip for verification)
• Prescription drugs (i.e. insulin - must match the name on the airline ticket)
• Anything in paper format

I guess with the trends of more sky terror, people will be boarding their flights in their tightie whities and thongs sooner than later :imeanwell:

I wouldnt be surprised if they start banning alot of things we take onto airplanes with us and blame it on terrorists.
Just so we can spend more on this we need at airports and such.

Yes it's all over the news as i'm in London at the moment. The other day i had to evacuate out of the British museum because someone left a bag in the corner, it turned out to be nothing.

The 22 suspects were actually picked up about 2 miles down the road from my buddies flat in buckeneneneneneshire or however these crazy english blokes spell it.

The London police don't have a good record dealing with these things so lets hope they got it right this time.

I have a flight at Heathrow, the largest airport in Europe, on Monday morning so i hope it's no so painful. This isn't exactly the most comforting news to hear a few days before your flight. I'm also wondering if i'll be able to board with the 50 quid of vinyl i picked up over here as i'd prefer it not to get warped in baggage.

thats nothing... don't be suprised if you get id'd for purchasing peroxide....
From what the reports are stating they were going to use peroxide based bombs.... With my experience with being a pyro maniac when I was 15 peroxide based explosives are extremely sensative to heat... static.... sparks.. very unstable... And the thing is is that there is no restrictions to bring peroxide ob board a plane up until now...... we'll have to see..

It wasn't intended to mean anything. It's what is being informed through CNN. Sources say that the two that visited there recently may have had some training in bomb making.

worldwide? i've read some newsreports in german about this...spiegel, die welt, süddeutsche, faz, nzz, tagi...guess what? not a single one published a sentence like "twenty-four people, two that have visited Pakistan recently..." - what i'm reading over here are things like "the Pakistani government played a major role in busting the terror cell" - no word of that on cnn...do the math.
