on the original topic....my roomie works in the airport, past security, and she is no longer allowed to bring her water bottle or any beverage to work with her.

That's it!!! All employees shall not be allowed to drink juice! They must dehydrate!

my dad worked for the airlines for 35 years and keeps close contact with a load of people he used to work with. he said to me earlier, its not fair that it has to happen... but it does. (like the one or two bad kids doing something retarded in the class, and everyone gets punished with detention)

its not hard to understand why they arent allowing ANYONE to bring liquids into high risk area's of YVR.
what else can they do? its just too risky right now. saying that your roomie will dehydrate isnt so either.
plus, juice isn't as good for you as water anyways ;)

lol. I totally understand the reasons and so does she, but it's just a funny restriction if you look at it alone : NO BEVERAGES ALLOWED. We had a chuckle over employees having their coffees/pops/waters confiscated on the way in today.

And she brings a water bottle to work everyday, I just threw juice in there for dramatic effect. :P
