I remember when that came to town. I missed it unfortunately.

Cool sidenote though being that once one of the local private schools in Duncan was doing Joseph, and their lead got sick, so they actually called in Jeff Hyslop to play the title role. True story.

Goddamn was the Narrator chick in the production cute.

For scenes after Valjeans got out of prison, wandering the streets and coming across various merchants and richfolk, he was essentially walking in place on this giant platter. People would set up their little merchant booths at the upstage and as it rotated around, Valjeans would approach them and do his interaction. Intensely cool stage gimmick and by far the best play I've ever seen.

I havent seen a high budget show of this: I will now. my goal is to attend at least one Opera/symphony/play/art Gallery a month. Big bucks small price to pay for something so loved.

Anyways, Lyndzie. Go to London. Seriously. Hit up the Half Price ticket booth at Leicester Square and go check out some of the best damn plays in the world. For a major production you gotta get your reservation in early (Cats, Phantom, J-C Superstar, Les Mis) but for a lot of the other stuff that's out there you can just get your tickets day-of.

When I was in high school I was lucky enough to spend a week on a theatre tour in London... dear god that was amazing.

As well as seeing some of the best (les mis) and funniest (The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)) plays i've ever seen, I also saw the worst.... Never go see a show called Starlight Express. It _looks_ like a cool roller-derby-style stunt show, but really it's just a bunch of tools on roller skates singing really crappy music. Don't ever bother with it.

Seeing Grease ranks up there amongst coolest-things-i-did-in-London.... as well as roller blading all around from Hyde Park to Trafalgar Square.

You can do the same in Time Square in NYC. A majority of the theatre that I've seen has been there.

5 not encluding the movie;

You know I was in London and I didnt even go see a play. My brain was in "old castle and stone henge" mode... and I missed that aspect. I would have loved to see something in the old "culture"

I tried to travel to Sanfran. to see "lestat" but by the time I saved up they cancled it.

I am going to see a small production of CATS in OCT. and a big production of Macbeth the opera in November.

I saw it awhile back too.

See it once at Queen E and once at Ford Center whatever that place is called.

I loved both of the shows very much
