I totally agree. Alot of artists these days are making really minimal tunes within their genres also. Oliver Nickels was telling me about how he saw Steve Bug play a minimal set to thousands at a club in tokyo. I'm not sure if the genre was popular in Tokyo since its existance but I think it says alot if you can bring out that many people for that shit.

Haha, word! The Japanese have extremely open minds when it comes to music. It is really interesting to see a big crowd going off to such spaced and melodically empty music. Definetly refreshing and inspiring to see a successful set (from a party/crowd standpoint) without the typical "party" music. Not that theres anything wrong with that ;)
