Summer fruits !

The boy and I have been out picking the blackberries in our yard and around the neighborhood so that we can freeze them for winter smoothies, yea and wine making ~~~ WE picked up cases of peaches on the road back from Shambles and I have blanched, sliced and frozen them too,a long with rasberries, blueberries and strawberries =)

Summer fruit is so cheap and plentiful! For the most part it freezes well and is a nice treat after the summer rays have subsided

my gf has tons of blackberry bushes around her place, those mf's are delicious! thorny as hell, but worth eeeeevery scratch.

raspberries, peaches from the OK, necterines and blueberries are what I enjoy most about summer... I use to eat so much of it as a kid because my family lives in the OK

i'm alllergic to the okanagan pesticides...
sooo :( no summer fruits for me... unless they're organic and from somewhere else..
cherries, peaches and nectarines especially. some apples too.

Jingles is out again today getting a motherlode of blackberries.. they're EVERYWHERE around here. Time to make jam I suppose...

yay for free fruit! We've got two cherry trees, a pear tree, and an apple tree in our yard... can't wait for the pears to ripen!
