If you want to get rid of arachnophobia try living in a basement suite for a while. I went from arachnophobic to just seeing them as harmless pests....despite the occassional 3-4inch wolf spiders ugg. And the apparent raining when u kill a spider is definitely a myth.

ewww *shudder* I hate hate hate spiders too!! And i can't even kill them cuz I am so afraid to even go near them. I walk around my place once a week with a can of raid and spray around the perimeter of the house, especially by the doors, closets and windows.

I had this wolf spider outside my garage door, he was pretty cool... I fed it leather jackets... it was interesting to watch it react to it and how it would come up and feed. He got big really fast... don't know what happened to him tho.

i used to have a pet spider like that too. he was in the carport and i'd feed him whenever i went out for a smoke.

i can see why people hate spiders, but i can't see how somebody could be deathly afraid of them. the bottom of your shoe will take care of the creature. or, if it's in a place where you can't step on it, just pick the little bugger up and toss him aside like a used tissue. the next Time you come across a spider and you begin to quake remember this: i am human. that is just a bug. i am bigger than it. i can kill it. i am human.
