the countdown begins

it seems like i'm just getting back into the swing of things and it's already getting to be that time again where i start channeling things in the direction of phoenix.
this year will be much diffrent.
this year i'm going with the boyfriend i met there, and i'm galloping a few outside horses.
possibly taking my pony with me too!
and this year i'm leaving right around the beginning of october, not in december.
i'm so excited.

we went over 130 days with no rain last winter.
september to january or feb.

so my pony leaves on thursday, and i'll be not far behind.
we're going on a roadtrip of sorts.
my boss here is getting me a visa, so in exchange i'm going to do some time at Portland Meadows with 4 or 5 of his racehorses. probably just a couple weeks. he's even driving me down there and setting me up in a hotel for the duration of my stay! Tom is a fun guy to work for.

then i'll find a trailer for my pony going to Southern California and we'll work there for a while. i've got some friends there and i've always wanted to go to Los Alamitos and Pomona.
althought i'll probably wind up working at a training center or at Santa Anita.

there's lots of trailers heading to phoenix from there, so when i decide the time is right, we'll climb on a trailer and head to phoenix.

this is gonna be so effing fun.

i can't wait.
