Looking for Breaks/House promoters in Vancouver

Hey, im new around here (from calgary though), and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of vancouver and area Breaks and House promoters. names, contact info, anything would be great.

ive thrown and been a part of some big breaks acts here in the van area.

akeel, also on this site is a big breaks bwoy, hes done lots of break shows with buddy haze, under "POUND" and "Needle"

silverwaters brings breakbeat talent over

sound funktion is breakbeats aswell



just to name a few

big ups for akeel and haze. some of the best breaks shows in town are courtesy of them.


but i agree with klockwize, the breaks scene here really isnt all that well recieved

As my bio reads Rhia - I play all things funky. Breaks is my primary genre and is what I stay the most current on.

I was attracted to House because of the quality of it's production over the past few years - which is why I have respect for and play alongside with dudes like Christian, Tuna, etc. House can also be played in clubs a lot easier I find than Breaks - although I do drop the odd vocal/funky Breaks track within a House set.
