The removal of excessive signatures.

I will make only one comment on this thread. If you want to list every last detail about yourself in your sig you should consider making yourself a website. Make the internet your canvas. We're not strict, unfair assholes here at fnk but when you receive a friendly email/pm from admins/moderators that should give you an indication that we're asking nicely for respect. I don't mind a list of parties you're playing at, a display of pictures, a colorful image but I do mind a sig that carries down over numerous pages and makes the template look like its on steroids.

So far I have not had to pm a single member in the entire history of fnk to shorten their sig. I was notified lately that someone is having a hard time making sense of this theory. If you truly feel as if we're being gestapo here @ fnk..i'd really love to hear all about it. My inbox is always waiting.

OK, I am sure you have all said what I am going to say, but I don't have time to read the 3 pages of this thread (2/3 of which are prolly cluttered with signatures): BUT:

one of the MAIN reasons I have stayed away from reading/posting on boards like this has been the clutter caused by poeple's signatures.... it makes for a very difficult read and the ACTUAL juice of the thread gets lost among the huge .sigs that poeple have.

I personally think that .sigs should be TEXT only, no color or HTML and limited to 3 lines or 200 words MAX. They are there to allow poeple to reflect some personal thoughts, not to take away from the actual post/thread.

- if you want to promote a party, go post in the promo section
- if you want to promote yourself and talk about your life's details, that's what the profile area is for... or as Form said, go make a web page
- if you have other comments, I am sure there are sections where you can start a thread and chat about it.

and that just never really seemed to bother me that much. its people sigs, its your choice if you want to read them or not, sure its a bitch to have to scroll down, but your gonna have to do that to read the next reply anyway.

Even having a scroll wheel on my mouse, it still gets annoying. Id appriciate it if ppl utilized their signature to tailor it to themselves in a diminutive & coherent fashion. People will pay more attention to dates, locations, etc in a promo thread. Anything else can be put in personal information or into another relevant category/archieve. Adding on to what previous ppl have already said.
