i played beta 1 through 1.2 religiously. (beta one on release day actually...back when cs_mansion was so bugged and dead people talking could be heard by those still playing hahaha)

Played some 1.6 and some Source but never kept up with it. Maybe I should reload it....

I used to play TFC a shit load. Went to a couple lan tournys and shit, fun times!
Never played the early CS's except when I beta'd.

But got into Source when it came out, just got addicted, wanted it back! So... finally got it!.

I get that alot, its one of the main reasons i dont play on public servers.

they hold competitions for 1.6? i somehow doubt that. Unless its monopoly money and your sponsors are the racecar and thimball.

yes they do, alot of them are in washington, not many up in BC anymore ever since nerve lan center closed down in Surrey on 152. Theres the Big one (WSVG) in Dallas Texas http://www.thewsvg.com/ thats the big one im heading to in December :) But about once a month they have 1.6 tourneys down in Tacoma washington or Marysville Washington :D

Not too many northwest Source Tourney's tho the Northwest is strictly 1.6 lan territory

and as for sponsors, the top Team in America Is sponsored by Subway actually lol. My team is sponsored by Axxium Entertainment, they are paying for my Plane ticket and my Hotel room down to texas

by the way.. its not for $250,000 thats the tournament pot.. meaning all games... as for 1.6 it would be $12,500 but good luck beating coL and 3D lawl
