wi-fi vs. xbox 360

Ok so can i use a regular wireless receiver for my 360 or do i HAVE to use the xbox brand one? considering i can't really install drivers on the 360.

this idea just popped into my head as i'm not at home right now so i can give this a shot.

if you cant do it now, chances are they'll release a firmware updates that'll support some sort of wifi.

from what i understand you have to get the xbox wifi card. You can't just get a random pc one...

Werent people who mod'd that orignal xbox no longer able to play on live?

Personally I really don't mind paying 59$ do chainsaw some locust trash. IF thats what that globe is anyway.

yes, and yes.

xbox modding required a flash of the firmware deleting xbox live and inserting a n xbox media centre os.
now, people that did this way also were able to download a program that streamed with your pc called xlink kai. For multiplayer games. it was free and my god was it good.

Xbox 360's currently have a mod that does not require a flash of the 360. So playing xbox live can still happen. The only problem i could see is that you'd have to do your own firmware updates.

and since games sometimes require a download for updates. Im not too sure if live will download it properly.
