Em's mom was (at least according to him) always fucked on something, treating him like shit, and he barely lived with her. kim bassinger's character loves her son, and does what she can for him. i thought his acting was very good personally. but that is just my opinion and i respect yours..... also i agree with your last statement about the freestyles, some of the rhymes he spits are relly dope, but some of em aren't that great. but you also gotta remember that he isn't rhyming about his usual stuff, like gay-bashing, women killing, fans pissing him off, etc. actually he does the opposite.....

i thought the movie wasnt too bad. you pretty much expect whats coming up next cuz it was his life story and you hear about it in all the songs he sings just like tim said.
i thought the best part were the freestyles, those were pretty good beats. i'm not 18 yet and i got ID'ed and i still was able to get in, which was weird cuz i was a little scared that i would've gotten rejected

I am glad that you are one of the fans of 8 Mile who has actually has a good review on the movie. A lot of people will say its a great movie and wouldn't be able to say why. Let me ask you this? If they took out Eminem and put him in another movie role before 8 mile, do you think he'd be able to pull it off and get respect? Also, what if they got someone else to play Eminem, would the movie be as good? And to let everyone know. You must be 18 to watch 8 mile. If you are not, you must be accompanied with a guardian that is 19+ and you must sit within arms reach. If you try to grab some random person to be your guardian, they better be sitting beside you. The theatres do not give the rating to the movie, the movie board does. Most of the theatres will be doing crackdown on major days (Friday,Saturday,Sunday & Tuesday) cuz there are major fines if underage people are let in. Also, a lot of workers love to catch underage people cuz honestly its an ego trip and also its funny to see people argue. Next time you come to Silvercity Coquitlam, come and say hi. I'm the asian guy running around with a headset. You can't miss me. Ha Ha!

i loved this movie. i thought i would just say ya it was alright but it was really good. i liked the ironic ending. and this wasn't another shoot em up training day, menace 2 society like movie. it was a lot more realistic then i thought it would be. best movie i have seen in a while.

ok i saw this movie
my review: eminem played a really good part...as did everyone in the movie except for brittany murphy...i really really didnt like her in this role...it seemed like she was forced to say some off the lines...she wasnt beleivable....she couldnt dance...she really really bugged me in the film.
