This is true. Nintendo themselves are the only ones releasing quality games for the console. Any other developer struggles with making a quality, well liked and good selling game for the Wii.

Pretty much the problem is when you develop a game for the Wii, it's only for the wii. When you do one for the xbox or playstation, you can port them with relative ease.

^^ True. But the overall gameplay and experience needs to be different for the Wii. So if you plan on porting a 360 or PS3 game over, time and attention needs to be paid to things to take advantage of the Wii's platform, controller functionality, etc. without being lame.

Wii is dominating sales. but there's much more casual gamers than hardcore ones.
and the wii fit board.. what a gimmick, giving fat people useless hope.

Even my co-workers who have wii's are always telling me how much dust their wii's are collecting. the same people were the ones waiting in lineup many moons ago.

I dunno, the wii has produced the first real innovation in gameplay design in decades whereas all the next gen system are just the same old games since we've been in the 32-bit era but with HD graphics and improved scope.

Sure nintendo is the only one really making the games and they've decided fallen into the casual market in terms of design, but if a company truly wanted to make a wii-specific experience that had actual depth, it's would probably be pretty awesome.

I AGREE AND THEIR SALES SHOW THAT. THEY HAVE BROKEN THE "WHAT THE FUCK DO I DO WITH ALL THESE BUTTONS, FUCK THIS PUT ON BOSTON LEGAL" AUNT MARTHA GAMING DEMOGRAPHIC. yeah wii is more of a party people system. I love my DS and would buy the DSi before I considered a wii. I sort of hate the functionality of the controller for anything other than sports games.

I have all three consoles, but my PS3 is the one that collects the most dust as I only use it for a Blu-ray player really. To me, the wii doesn't even feel like gaming at all. It's like a live action board game that I get my gamer incompetent friends to come over to play. I bought it spontaneously because they had them in stock at Best Buy.

If my consoles were people: my wii would be a mildly retarded midget, my xbox would be the steroid hungry monster of a beast and my ps3 would be the ever creepy fanboy.

XBOX STOP TRYING TO GO AFTER THE WII MARKET. Let's face it Microsoft, the xbox controller scares the shit out of noob gamers
