Total Recall remake in the works

One of my all time fave films. As a person who doesn't like change, I'm nervous about the outcome, but based on how much I enjoyed the new Star Trek film, I'm pretty excited. Don't fuck this up Hollywood!

yeah we were saying the same thing after. good flick, got my cg terminator fix I was so dying for. little loose on the story but in the end a worthy watch

Calling Dick's story "prescient," Moritz said he hoped the advancements in technology and state-of-the-art visual effects can help tell the "Recall" story in a fresh way.

If they go with Philip K. Dick's version then I can see this being pretty cool.

Dick has become the go-to guy for Sci-Fi thrillers these days. Between Minority Report, Paycheck, A Scanner Darkly.... And about a year and a half ago they released the "Final Cut" version of Blade Runner (based off Dick's Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep)

terminator salvation failed where it counts: story. The writing and directing was notably bad. You can tell a shitty director was behind it when decent actors look terrible. I know a lot of people have been hating on Bale lately but he is a talented actor. He was clearly not in good hands in TS. There were also a lot of corny dialogue moments that made me cringe, particularly the "come with me if you want to live" or "i'll be back," among others. The only points are for sick visual effects and sound, and sam worthington was pretty solid among all the corn. Oh, and I guess arnie was pretty cool to see.

Total Recall doesn't really need a remake. I saw it recently and it looked surprisingly good considering CG was practically non-existent at that time. Verhoeven's gorey, campy kind of style is awesome. If they do a remake it'll most likely get fucked up by some tool bag like McG or Bryan Singer and we'll all try to pretend it never happened.
