this is a tite movie about the struggles of inner city poverty in the black community. (nyc). mary j blige, q-tip, fat joe are all in it but they do a good job unlike most singer/rapper attempts at acting.
It demonstrates the issue of prisons for profit, and many other ailments of american society, ya'll will like it.....

I'll have to check it out... I have an obsession with gang movies, ghetto movies.... don't really know why.

I think it's because its something that is so foreign to me. I'm a curious person and I love to learn about other people so I think that may have something to do with it. I grew up with the perfect family: 2 parents, 2.3 kids, and 1.4 dogs.... nice little white suburbanite family. I guess I'm just fascinated by other cultures in general.

There are sooooo many good gang movies too.... personal fave though: Blood In Blood Out

werD i have always from about 10yrs old on been obsessed with gang movies.....some of my fav's are , fresh, juice, boys n tha hood, menace 2 society, new jersey drive shit there are so many. unfortunatly there are alot of poor quality cheaply made movies that suck in this catagory tho
