Absolutely fantastic movie - I owned it the day it came out on DVD

Daniel Day Lewis = good stuff
Liam Nieson = good stuff

Hellcat Maggy = good stuff

the opening scene gives me shivers - I can't imagine what times like that must have been like (because they did occur) It's a time in history that is largely ignored...but very interesting

yeah..i thought the same thing..
great movie..but near the end..i started getting restless (caught the last show) and i thought the movie was gonna end SO many times..but it never did..

I bought that movie right after it came out too... sooo good! I wasn't prepared for that kind of movie.. all I knew was that Scorcese directed it and that alone would make it good.

Absolutely amazing story... something thaat was just itching to be told because not a lot of people are aware of that little tidbit of history. The special features on the DVD really shine some light on how true that movie really is.
