Movies that make you cry

So what movies have made you cry?

I saw Grave of the Fireflies recently...damn what a tragedy. That movie should invoke some emotion in everyone that sees it...one of the best movies ever imo.

I also cried openly in the theatres when I saw A Dog of Flanders. I tried not to, but I just couldn't help it. Summary of story: Everything that can go wrong for a boy, does (all family dies, he gets shafted by rich people, gets blamed for something he didn't do etc.).

Apparently, my mom says I cried during A Neverending Story, when a Unicorn drowns in some black stuff? I don't even remember that movie.

Oh man I cry in so many movies. I dont know why just emotional I guess. there was this one movie on though a little while back called ummm dead calm? something like that but it had Sam Neill and Nicole Kidman in it. harsh old one on tv. but yah it has this opening scene where she is in the car with her 2 year old son and they are singing and he gets out of his seat belt and she turns to tell him to get back into his seat and then she crashes into another car. and you hear the kid scream. I honestly just started balling my eyes out. like just non stop for 10 min. i just couldn't controll it, it made me so sad. but yah thats the worst so far for a movie. but i'm always weeping durring movies i just try not to show it a lot.

I don't cry over sappy love stories, usually only when kids or animals are hurt or when people die or go through really hard times.

A few though that I've cried at . . .

Titanic (when the kids are laying in thier bed ready to go under with their mom reading them their last story :()
Boys don't cry
Selena
LaBamba

I'm sure there's more

I've cried through many, but I can't remember them.

City of Angels, hands down, is the best movie to cry to. It's such a good movie, but it made me cry so much.

One time that video with LL cool J and J-lo made me cry - don't know why. Usually when I'm really "emotional" I cry over silly things - even some commercials!!

hmm I think the question in my case is what movies don't make me cry, I can get pretty emotional.

Disney movies really do it for me, especially Bambi , The Lion King and Dumbo. Here are some others that come to mind:

Romeo And Juliet (especially Zefferelli's version)
Breakfast at Tiffany's
Hamlet
Gattaca
Cruel Intentions
Titanic
The Basketball Diaries

-+> Titanic (I literally SOBBED the first time I saw this at the theater)
-+> Beaches (ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS. Never fails.)
-+> The Bodyguard (Usually)
-+> City of Angels (the concept of giving up everything for love and then losing it is enough to make me choke up)

I love that rocky.

Even with cher's horrid acting, it still yanks at my heartstrings.
