Steam's shitty cs app

First of all this application sucks ass

2: all the servers are full

3: when the server isnt full there's usually 32 people in there and is laggy as hell

if cs 1.6 came out on its own like the last updates.. this would be a winner in my heart.

back to 1.5 for me

luckly when you re-download the entire cs game 1.6
it installs seperate, not over (or upgrade) your 1.5
so it was nice and easy to remove.

steam is fucked. i forgot my password for my steam account, and had to create a new one and now it won't let me use my HL cd key to play.. cause its already "in use" by my other nonusable account. fuckers. and it hardly ever let me play when i did have my other account :finger:

if you read up about how to fix the steam update you wouldnt be on here bitching, steam and CS 1.6 have been an overall improvment. if you still have a shitty computer then get with the times, a decent computer is cheap.

1.5 and before : kicked by console [because of detected hacks]

^ i got kicked many times in cs 1.5 and lower... and i never had hacks installed.

steam works for a lot of people, so i dont think the problem is on thier end, try re-installing it. i know its a bitch to do, but its better than complaining on here, least you get something done hehe.

oh, and for those of you that have newer video cards, for some reason valve had decided to use an older version of the opengl driver and that may be causing some lag
simply copy your opengl driver from the windows directory and put it in the gldrv directory under steam/[email protected]/cstrike/ and then modify the gldrv.txt file to match the file you just moved there. if you cant understand that, then try finding some site to explain it...i cant remember where i found it, try www.gotfrag.com i think they might have it. anyways cs is an old game and it still rocks...
