Anyways, Metatron AFAIK is an actual Angel of God's choir. However, I'm not certain if it's actually the voice of god or not.

Here's a tip: I wouldn't take all your theological knowledge under Dogma. Loki was an old Norse God and just about all the different "ethereal" characters are borrowed from various mythologies that are non-Christian. And something tells me that Rufus, the thirteenth apostle who was left out of the Bible because he's black, was a concoction of Smith's imagination.

I'll ask my mother about it. She's currently at UBC full time taking Post-grad Theology (Well, VST, not UBC, but same campus). She'd probably know who Metatron was.

Don't plan on doing so nor was I suggesting that anyone else do so.

It just seemed as if the whole "voice of G-d" concept seemed totally foreign to everyone, and I would have thought that some might remember the concept from this movie.

And I stand by its being an excellent movie. Theologically accurate? Likely in some places, not in others...but again, I'm not suggesting you replace your Intro To Religeous Theology textbook with it and expect to pass the exam. Just sayin' its an enjoyable watch is all.
