Ok , so I downloaded HalfLife ...
Extracted everything ...
Tried to run it and I got this message: " HalfLife requires Service Pak 3 or above " ...

Can anyone help ? ...

why dont you just buy it? hehe find a used one from a friend that has a REAL CD KEY so you can hit up some CS with the rest of the F&K Crew?

well no my friend has HL on his comp with Win 2k and it works fune

though the best idea would br to go with a REAL CD of HL

Crunch I checked the windows site and there is no service pack 3 out for 2kpro yet ...

Could you ask your friend and see what he/she had to do to get it working ?

well all he did was install it put the CD key in and *poof*

it works although he had to get a couple vid card drivers and stuff and get CS he was fine!

I've had a lot of trouble with a lot of games with 2kpro .
I am going back to 98 .

I had the same thing happen, then i udated to the most recent version of HL and now HL and CS both run fine

I'm using Win2K professional

yeh for some reason it wouldnt let me update my version of hl .
i have windowsXP now though and everything is fine ...
