i think i saw it at the imax when i was like 5 or 6... and i remember dragging my mom to take me back to see it again cuz it was the best fucking movie ever...

oh the things i would do to get my hands on a copy of that movie.

Since i was 2 when i went to expo i dont remember a thing except EXPO ernie and he scared the crap outta me, i cried :*(

oh yeah..rainbow wars!! i totally forgot about that movie, i used to be obsessed with it when i was younger. i remember that creepy queen lady when she takes off her mask at the end of the movie...i forget if she dies or not??
anyways i think there were 3 or 4 different colour teams which each represented different "races of people" who were all against eachother. then there was the girl from one colour and the guy from another colour who fall in love. and she gets thrown down a waterfall of paint and almost dies but she hangs onto a tree branch and everyone from the different colours has to hold onto eachother to go down the side of the waterfall of paint to save her. they realize that they are all not much different when they start mixing 2 colours together to make new colours and they all become friends and they start painting everything these new colours and laugh about it.

yep, saw it like every year in elementary school...only later when remembering it with friends in high school it kinda clicked "oh yea..that was probably to teach us about racism and stuff". Haha, one of those lessons snucked in there as a kid :)

wasn't that the same movie? They flew around in lots of crazy stuff? balls and hula hoops? I dunno..but that also rings a bell.

In rainbow wars the yellow guy flew around on a hula hoop and blue flew around in mini air ballons ( I think). I'm not sure what red flew around in.

This movie was very different. There was no paint involved.

Ok I got it. I went pulled out my big Expo '86 book. The movie w/ the little girl and the red ball is called Discovery. She flys around in this thing after she meets an alien named Zargon. I loved that movie too. I miss Expo, it was fun.
