Absolutely amazing book. so many things are random as hell concerning plot developement, but everything somehow ties back into relavency later.

I'd recommend this book(s) if you want some 'somewhat deep shit' to think about, someone who just wants a nice read, or wants to laugh.

After Life, The Universe, And Everything it gets pretty boring I found. Mostly Harmless had some cool stuff at the beginning but it died down as the book went on.

But the first three were fantastic.

For the record, my towel is approximately 5 feet behind me. I know this without looking.

Movie in production right now. The midget from Willow (Warwick Davis) is going to play Marvin (he also played Wicket in Return of the Jedi and The Great Ewok Adventure). Mos Def is going to be Ford Prefect, John Malkovich as Humma Kavula, Sam Rockwell (Guy from Galaxy Quest) is Zaphod Beeblebrox, Zooey Deschanel (Jovie from Elf) is going to be Trillian.

Cast looks amazing. I really can't wait for this one.

don't know if i'd want to see the movie though, the book is so far out there imaginatively speaking. a movie could totally fuck that up...

When the first four came out, it was "a trilogy of four".

When the last one came out, they changed it to "a trilogy in five parts"

My copies date back before Mostly Harmless was published (save for, of course, Mostly Harmless)
