Ok.. so i got my modem

TV

and the outlet from the wall

Outlet goes from the wall to the modem.. BUT HOW THE FUCK DOES IT GO INTO MY TV?!?!?!?!

Should have a splitter... the cable line goes from one of them to the modem, then the ethernet cord goes from the modem to your computer.

The cable that comes out of the other part of the splitter goes to your TV

but yeah.. i guess i'll need a splitter.. but Radioshack is a 45 minute walk.. UP FUCKING HILL.

yeah, you need a splitter, one to the tv and one to the modem.. and when your modem was installed by shaw they should have given you one and done it for you

they just opened up the port.

Get a special splitter from shaw.... they will supply you onne for free. If you use a shitty radio shack splitter you will notice serious slowdown on your internet
