I like the way that you get the reaction time too... When he's talking to Elvis and you're all "Wow. This guy is certifiably nuts!" and the girl starts crying after he kills Drexel, you're all like "30 minutes into the movie, now we've got nowhere to go." Then her line is "That was so romantic!" your mind kind of snaps into.... Oh.... I get it....

It's crazy though... up until that moment something just seems wrong... then from that point forward you just get to enjoy the movie... and enjoy it you do!

Awesome cast too. That's probably my favourite thing about it. Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette as our star-crossed lovers, but for crying out loud.... Dennis Hopper, Brad Pitt, Christopher Walken, Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson, BRONSON PINCHOT!?!?!?!? This was EXCELLENTLY casted.

and the best part about the casting is that the really 'big' names like christopher walken (who is my favourite in that movie) and brad pitt and samuel l. jackson..they all have these little tiny roles.

it's like in Kill Bill 2 how samuel l. jackson has that small small part as the piano player at The Bride's wedding. i love that. everyone wants to be in a tarantino film.
