because i'm so bored at work, and actually i do watch tv (now that i have it OUT of the common space)... but you see..

someone decided to go back to basic cable. so either way, i'm better off not caring about tv cause if i did care then there'd be a problem, you hear?

No it didnt. He doesn’t shamelessly make fun of americans, he points out the ridiculous absurdities of the american political system and the people making the decisions at the higher levels. He doesnt just bash american people... you just sound stupid saying that. I do agree though, the daily show is fucking awesome.

Its one of the few shows ill actually go out of my way to watch. Its on basic cable too, 12 am week nights on channel 9!

The daily show doesnt really fall under the "nonsensical rot" catagory.

i think you're missing the point. he is making fun americans (you know, all those people living between los angeles and new york). america is not a joke because of the people making decisions at the higher levels; it's a joke because the american people actually want it that way. remember: bush received a higher percentage of votes the second time around. that's because americans approve of what he's doing. that's the joke and jon stewart's good at pointing it out.

ps. i have yet to see a show where he doesn't make jokes about political figures and how they handle things. i would agree that he is making more fun of the political system and the way they blatanly lie about things.
