Picked this game up yesterday and all I can say is wow fuckin awsome graphics and engaging game play me like..

tnhe puzzles are quite challenging, and the graphics are amazing.. I got about half way through, and uninstalled. work takes over sometimes. def an stepping stone in pc gaming.

awesome single player, but wished it was a little bit longer. best feature is being able to control a team of characters

My only complaint is the storyline. When I beat the game, I was left with a bunch of questions and wasn't given a single answer. Who are 'Our Benefactors' Who does the G-Man work for? Why did Dr. Breen side with the aliens. Are the Combine and Xen even the same aliens? It didn't really tie into the first game enough for me the way the original Half Life fit perfectly with its expansion packs. Other than the story though, the game is truly wicked and very immersive and addictive even for the casual gamer.

Oh, ANOTHER thing to keep me in front of the computer until 5am.

I had to de-install Halo even though I'm sure it's not near as good as HL2, just too addictive. Even though not really fun, more like a job.

If we get a last blizzard and I'm cooped up for a week though, maybe I'd go pick up the new HL.

the storyline was short and left many people puzzled (such as me)

there are many rumours such as G-Man is the future version of Gordon

G-Man = Gordon-Man

could it be related? let's see what Half-Life 3 will bring out

Awesome game graphics, story line was a bit developmental and was awesome till the ending. HalfLife 3 should reveal alot more about the characters. As for gameplay, I still found it quite linear as there were challenges that had only 1 way of completing. As for the engine, awesome stuff. when will we see a widescreen update? :p

Awesome graphics and gameplay... the storyline was good... I'm looking forward to the expansion packs.

The settings reminded me so much of Eastern Europe :o

Valve teams up with Japanese arcade developer 'Taito' to create (you guessed it) HL2 Arcade machine. Sounds cool, would you dump a dollar/play into playing HL2? Still would be a cool toy for the house =)

especially when its all superpowered at the end
