Went and saw LOTR yesterday.
HOLY shit....is that ever long.
Didnt realize it was a 3 hour movie.

Wicked graphics....but to slow and boring. Thats I guess why I never read the book..to slow.

But WICKED effects.

The first time I saw the film I thought it was entirely slow too. Even with the novel. But the second time, woooo, it went by much quicker, and I appreciated the detail.

yeah......it iz kinda long.......but awsome graphix.....good movie though....i freaked out when that bilbo bagginz guy wanted the ring back from frodo....and his face turned all freaky!!! lol...at tha ending, i guess this chic didn't know that this wuz only the first of 3 installmentz.....she yell'z out "whut tha fuck!! that'z not an ending!!".......*everybody laughz*

That was the best comedic part of the entire movie, I laughed for like 5 mins at my brother who jumped out of his seat. :)

I have to admit I am in LOVE with this movie!!!! I went to see it not knowing what it was even really about. I never read the books, nor had my parents read them to me when I was little either. I really enjoyed this movie...and am now reading the book...and can't wait for the second part to come out! Even though I have finished the second book already! :Kimmie:

P.S. and I really love the name Bilbo Baggins!!!!! :c-tard:

Well they're not going to be released at the same time, so the comepetition between the two is irrelevent.

lord of the rings was awesome! it didn't go by slowly for me, the characters were so well done (like orcs), the scenery was nice, the movie was good, and i can't believe i have to wait another year to see #2!

slow and boring??!! oh my god, how can it be slow and boring?
i loved it. the effects were awesome and the characters were amazing. i like that they didn't use well known actors for the cast, it made it seem not quite so hollywood-ish (even though it is), and people will go to see the movie, not their favorite famous actor/actress. (although it seems like some might have gone to see it because it's the new big movie to see)
i think i'd like to read the books again though, it's been a long time since i did, it'd be nice to refresh my memory.
