ya, theres 2 things about the game i dislike....lvl20 max, and ONLY human race...comeon, its an RPG let us be something different...i always pick dwarf

Yeah, I have 3 characters in L2. A cute lil dwarf (they look like little girls), a light elf and a dark elf. :)

Is this game really that good? I've been debating for a couple weeks now on whether or not I really want to pick it up. I stare at the box for a couple of minutes, put it back on the shelf and walk away.

For anyone who actually plays the game, is it worth the purchase and how does it compare to other MMORPG's out there (ie: WoW, Evercrack, Lineage etc...)?

well, i only heard about it from my co-worker, other then that...nothing, he told me about it, i bought it the next day...i've barely been able to put it down..

only other MMORPG i've played was evercrack, i didnt really like it(monthly fee's totally ruin it for me)

couple probs i have with this game:
-Finding a good party is hard'ish(cuz ppl do trade spam all over the place)
-theres only the human race
-you can only have 4 characters per cd key

things i like:
-the graphics are awesome, the environments look really good(and i jus have the minimum reqs)
-the world is HUGE, my main character has over 70 hours on it, and i'm like 1/2-3/4's done
-its addicting, lol
-for $49.99 and no monthly fee....i think its totally worth every penny

Personally I prefer Lineage 2, but the free play for Guild Wars is nice to have. *shrug*

just picked it up today. first time i've ever bought these types of games. was not really a huge fan before but figure ill give it a try since it free online play. cant give an opinion in terms of comparison. seems aight so far

im the same as e_boy, never played one of these games before.

However I play Guild Wars about 2-3 hours a day. 'm level 16 or so right now and play with a bunch of people from work or just randoms online. It's addicting, but I feel like such a nerd forplaying it hahaha.

For those that do play, what's your skill base? I'm a Mesmer/Ranger.
