has anyone gotten the chance to see it?

it's not the kind of movie I usually go and watch, but I heard good reviews so I decided to give it a chance.

there were quite a few sad scenes, but it was a really cute movie.. overall, I'd probably give it a B.

my favorite parts are when the penguins get tired of walking and instead, fall over on their bellies to move around the ice.

Amazing....

edit: I just watched the part where the penguins almost made it to the surface only to get pulled back at the last second by its predator...

so sad...

edit x2: omg... i just watched another one die... how the hell did they advertise this to kids.... dayam....
so sad....

Also check out Grizzly Man - another good but sometimes sad flick about animals (and people).

imo the best cute part is when they get back to the water and two penguins jump into the hole at the same time and get stuck.

awesome.

but parts of this movie were so depressing and sad.

was this put out to imax? if not, was it intended to? very much in the same vain of the education documentaries you see in (omn)imax...

very cute... there were sad scenes but its not like they weren't out of place in trying to show the trials they go through... funny though if you think about it, because the predators, like the penguins, also need to eat :P

edit: also want to make a special note about the musical score and the aesthetic (sp?) sceneries... I don't think the movie would have been half as impactful without it...

lol! totally one of the best parts!

and when the babies chill on their momma's feet and walk around

or when the one baby tried to get back under their mom or dad but they are too big

p.s. i wanted to kick that stupid bird that tried to eat them..
