Fuck. Seriously. I hate critics who are quick to bite the bullet and think they're so witty and creative with how they don't like a movie.

This movie is really not as bad as the critics label it to be. I don't know why the studio didn't let this one be pre-screened. I've seen worse movies be let out of the bag.

It's by no means perfect, but it's far from crap.

The good:
-Charlize
-Art Direction (the costumes, sets = beautiful)
-It isn't mindless; there's a story and the plot is well-developed
-There is action and special effects

The bad:
-May be a little too smart for the intended audience (13+)
-Dialogue needs some improvement
-Supporting cast leaves something to be desired

I give the movie a d+
This was bloody awful.
She was hot - the acting wasn't that bad

The story was just unbelievably bad - same with the editing
You can't introduce somethign near the end of the movie that saves the main character out of the blue.
The setting needed a bit more time thne 1 minute to place us in that "time"

Just.. .bad...
So looking forward to Narnia.

Hmm I disagree. The story was better than I expected, and the editing did its job. Some shots were shot quite beautifully. If you're thinking the quick cuts suck, it's just the way the director wanted to do it.

And I'm not sure what you're talking about in the end that saves the main character "out of the blue." The only thing I can think of involves a backstory. And there's nothing wrong with that.

I'm a huge fan of the animated series. They shouldn't have done it live action because they will NEVER execute it correctly.

I think it's just because they wanted Charlize or some other big name star to bring in the money.
