Watching olympic figure skating

It on tv in every restaraunt, bar and lounge i've been into in the past 2 days..
Its so boring and everyone just sits there and stares at it... like they actually CARE if the bastard on ice falls on his ass...

Why dont you save yourself money, stop going out to these shitty restaurants, lounges and bars, and stay at home and watch the olympics on your own tv. The advantage is that, the food you eat will probably save you money, and you might even be able to watch some other event than figure skating. But hey im dumb so I duno thats just my opinion.

ppl that watch some of these sports are f'd in the head. the only sports worth watching are hockey and snowboarding. some of these parents should have bitch slapped their sons who figure skate.. *smack* stop prancing around the ice like a lil girl and play some hockey, foo.

Who cares! These people have worked their balls off to get to the olympics, let them have their moment. If you dont like watching it then dont look at the tv! Regardless of how girly you think it is, they are crazy athletes who are the best at what they do in the world.

I am with Ryan on this one. They are lucky enough to have found their niche in life. The one thing that they truely excel at and you think you have the right to sit here and condemn and judge them for it?

I have tried to ice skate, and I suck at it, all the power to the person who can get on the ice and jump and twirl the way they do.

And props to the hetero-sexual men that are in the sport and secure enough in their sexuality to get on the ice and be judged by homo-phobic morons.

Comments like the ones here just show that not everyone is secure in their sexuality.

It takes a hell of alot of work to get where they are now. At the highest level of competition for their sport.

Seriously hockey isn't the only sport though sometimes its all i think people see on fnk.

Ya did anyone see the Chinese team of Zhang. Where the pair tried a Quad Salchow but she landed hella hard on the ice.

Man your telling me that for wusses. She got up took a minute break. Resumed the program and ended taking silver instead of no medals.

^Yeah man.... that was a crazy fall. Super impressive that they still took silver after that. They got a standing ovation from the crowd too.

I am pretty confident if they hadn't missed that throw salchow they probably would have taken home the gold.

p.s: you like this new points system for figure skating. I l ike the old one.

I'm not really sure how much of a difference it really makes I guess... I mean the difference ends up pretty close to the same doesn't it? The old way was deductions for mistakes and the new way is less points for mistakes. Either way you're scoring less aren't you?

I dunno maybe it was just easier for the audience to do the scoring when it came up. Now you basically have to wait till the two scores are added up to say 160 points.

Before you could do the judging by adding all the scores from each countries judges

while these guys are out there competing in the olympics and training for months and flying around the world...you are sitting on your ass in a restaurant drinking, eating and bitching about them. good for you!
