Venom
holy fuck i can't WAIT!!!!
 Venom has seen three significantly different origins in both comics and TV. Each offers some clues as to what may come for Venom in the upcoming films.   During Secret Wars, Marvel's great crossover event of the mid-'80s, Spider-Man -- who had been complaining about his costume -- managed to find some new duds on an alien planet. The black costume was more than Spidey bargained for. It was, in fact, an alien symbiote that was attempting to permanently bond with Spider-Man. Eventually Spidey managed to free himself of the symbiote's control. It slithered off and found a new host in Eddie Brock, a disgraced reporter who once worked at The Daily Globe (not to be confused with The Daily Bugle.) Eddie was on the verge of suicide, dejected over his failure and suffering from terminal cancer. The symbiote and Eddie became fast friends and the mad creature Venom was born. In the Ultimate Universe, "Venom" was the name of Peter Parker and Eddie Brock's fathers' experimental cure for cancer. The suit was intended to bond to a cancer victim and feed on the cancerous cells, thus curing them. But as the elder Parker and Brock discovered, the suit had far greater potential as a weapon. Feeling that Peter Parker robbed him of their fathers' legacy, Eddie Brock exposed himself to the last sample of the suit and Ultimate Venom was born. In the Spider-Man Animated Series, Venom once again has an alien origin. John Jameson (son of JJJ), is an astronaut who discovers an unusual rock that gets named "Promethium X". The strange rock, which is brought back to Earth, also contains what amounts to an alien symbiote. It breaks free of its rock containment and eventually finds a host in Eddie Brock. Get your facts straight kids!!!!
At this point they haven't confirmed whether or not Venom is actually going to be in Spidey 3. Right now their main focus is on Thomas Hayden Church as Sandman. The pic above isn't symbiote Spidey either... it's just a dark picture. The symbiote Spidey doesn't have the webbing on the costume like that one and the logo on the front is also different. From what I've read there's a small chance that Venom might appear in this one but it's unlikely. They are thinking of saving him for the next flick as they don't want him to have to really compete with another villain for screen time. Either way... I hope they change their mind and confirm him because after 3 it looks like a lot of the cast is buggering off. Apparently Toby doesn't even want to make a 4th flick. A new Spidey would be lame... I've grown to like Toby in the role. /end geek-out Symbiote Spider-Man

This website might have me eating my words.... I believe this one is just speculation as well but they do note that this pic is supposed to represent a black Spidey costume. It could mean that they've just done a complete redesign on the symbiote suit. I really hope so that's for sure.... the shit that goes down with the symbiote is bad ass in the comics!!
