I think those commercials were pretty retarded: not funny retarded like Johnny Knoxville movies, just really stupid. Oooh, somebody protect me from an insolent glass bottle! My self esteem can't take it any more! Oh wait, it's all the drugs fault and none of mine. Off to rehab I go. Let's all vote conservative! I know what's best for your body, now that I've beaten my own weakness towards desires.

That's your body trying to flush that horrible crap out. You can actually pull crystal shards out of your face (and eat them, so is the practice). If the commercial was trying to educate you instead of just scare you, it'd probably tell you that information. But no, it's just one big "do it once and you're entire family is fucked for life but we won't tell you why," just like every other drug ad. You'd think the drug and its effects would be enough to convice people not to do it without having to resort to Hollywood scare tactics.

Yeah, there's nothing quite like going overboard and losing all of your credibility. It makes sure that the 10% of truth in what you're saying is dismissed as propaganda.
