the davinci code

yeah, saw the screening for it. it was exactly what i had expected, well maybe a lil better than what i had anticipated . . . i dunno. if you ve read the book, i dont see a huge urge to run to ur local theatres. if you havn't read the book yet, but ur plannin on it, then go read the book first. if you havn't read the book, and have no intentions in doing so, then go and watch the movies and get comfy.

just got home from it....in my opinion....

%100 waist of time!

havent read the book, dont plan too

the movie was way too long and hearing the same conversations over and over for 3 hours isnt my kind of good movie. dragged on forever. i left the theater angry.

i highly reccomend you save your time and money on this one!

I'm fucking sick of all of this da vinci code shit. The book was dry, like a Steven King novel on sleeping pills. The religious controversy behind it is getting really annoying - it wouldn't be getting so much attention if they just took it as fiction and left it alone, god damn it. I'll stick to my copy of Milton's "Paradise Lost" and wait for this shitstorm to blow over.

The book was ok...
I read it a year or two ago so I would be down to see the movie cause its not THAT fresh in my head..
Also, for some reason this book was one of those ones where every so often I read ten pages without ACTUALLY reading them, then I have to go back and reread...its not that it was boring...just not used to reading mystery/detective type books.
But once I was done, I was glad I finished.
So the movie might give me a more clear view as well....

I actually like comparing movie versions and book versions of stories too

For me this movie was "meh."

5-6/10 overall... Good acting in it though as it had a great cast. Just really long/drawn out over the course of 2.5+ hours.

The book was the novel equal of a "blockbuster."

And the movie fits the book.

It was what I expected. Although the fact that I knew all the answers and the codes kinda made the movie less fun. The book was exciting that way.

i think those catholic ppl contraversing this movie are retards and totally wasting thier breathe... i flicked on some channel yesterday and the guy, a preacher i think, was preaching that this movie was somehow related to the 666 number and was phophesized in the bible about being a book written by the anti-christ and that it is a brainwashing tool that the dark lords of the underworld are using to sway good ppl to the sinners' side...
--what a joke

I'd heard most of these theories from my grandparents since I was young. So the movie prolly seemed a little more repetitive to me than most others. It wasn't horrible, though. Sir Ian is the man, as usual.
