I won a free DS lite with a copy of 'Brain Age' through my work.

Man this thing is freaking sick. Mario Kart is now consuming my life.

Anyone else have one?

My fat PS2 bit the dust a month ago so I ended up buying a new slim PS2.

Never really got into portable gaming...

P.S. I remember Animal Crossing for GC. But that was so long ago.

i have an original DS, but i put it in the "infamous closet of nabs old electronics" when i bought the psp. but still the DS was awsome while i played it.

Hehe, I'm the opposite. Kind of.

I sold my PSP, with gig stick and 3 games (Lumines, GTA and Burnout) because it was getting boring, and I felt that it didn't have a good future ahead of it (in terms of new releases [not including movies which aren't being made for PSP anymore]). Plus I had to get a lappy.

So what games do you have for the DS? :D

In terms of weight, I feel the old DS and the DS Lite are about the same, by virtue of having the same components (as both are functionally equal).

The DS Lite is just more compact, so it fits in your pocket better, and holds more true to its original intention as a portable handheld unit, in addition to looking slick as hell.

Hence why I feel it was called the DS 'Lite' rather than the DS 'Light'.

they also changed the button layout slightly on the lite version.

i have one, and i love it. i have the new super mario bros (and that's it.. i'm too broke to buy anything else at the moment) but i love it. i play it all the time at work when i'm bored!

finally the benefits of a little sister are paying off. since i buy her most of her games anyways and her favourites so far are gba games i get to borrow her ds.

mario kart is awesome. just rented new super mario bros and will have it finished pretty soon. i'm afraid of how much money i might waste at rogers this summer. but at least they sent those 2 for 1 deals.

re: ds vs ds lite. she's got a ds and it seems fine. i used my buddies' lite and there is a noticeable difference. but i think the deciding factor is if you're going to have the ds in your pockets most of the time or if you've got a bag or something.

oh yea, recommend games. how's animal world? what's it like exactly?
