It looks like Venom WILL be making an appearance in Spider-Man 3... not just symbiote Spider-Man! The studios finally released a sneak peek picture!

Is that Eddie Brock/Topher Grace though? The picture looks more like Colenel Jameson (JJ's son who Mary Jane was supposed to marry). In the animated series he leads a space mission where the symbiote is first found.

^Well when you think about it the storyline that the movies have taken so far def. lends itself towards Jameson being Venom.

Personally I prefer the Eddie Brock line but my guess is that's not gonna be the case for this one.

spider man three should be that cosmic battle where spidey gets the suit. then the fourth one should be aboot spidey battling the suit and some other villain. THEN comes venom in the fifth one. draw it out a little.

I think you're referring to the Secret Wars. If they did that then they have to introduce hokey characters like Madame Web and the Beyonder then Spidey would be fighting baddies like Doctor Doom and the Red Skull alongside Captain America and the Fantastic Four. Would be too much for a movie, you could make a trilogy or two about that series, George Lucas steeze, lol.

I was however hoping they'd leave the whole alien costume/symbiote, Venom, Carnage story for the second trilogy though. The third movie should've been exclusively about wrapping up the Green Goblin story and having Harry Osbourne coming to grips with all his inner demons after a very messy two hours of trying to break up Spidey and MJ; they could've concluded the movie with the return of the space mission and the inevitable rise of Venom.

Can't believe we have to wait so long for this movie to hit theatres. Spidey is one of the few comic book movies done justice, along with the new take on Batman. Apparently Heath Ledger is playing the new Joker.

it was a long Time ago, but i think that the fight had the word "cosmic" in it. or is that when spidey got cosmic powers? i don't really remember.

but what you said about the second trilogy and wrapping stuff up is a good idea.
