We embrace each others differences.
Basically, we are group of really good friends. We all have different life goals, different DJing goals, different ages, different music passions, different backgrounds, and we do our best to share what we can and support each other along the way. Butting heads is expected with any group of people spending time together (including on the internet lol!). We disagree from time to time and we try to learn along the way because learning is key.
Competition is normal. A hating nature shouldn't be. Many girls hate on girls. This is not reserved solely for the DJing & party industry. And we are certainly not immune to that. We receive heaps of praise and hate all the time. People who hate tend to take a lot of things in life far too seriously. Everyone is entitled to their opinions about things, it's how one communicates that matters.
We all have things to offer one another. If I hadn't met Amanda, I would not have been able to appreciate this lunatic raver "Uk Garage" stuff she adores so much! I thought it was all noise until she showed me the good shit. Then we discovered that it goes pretty well with some crazy jackin party House that I play. And Amanda can drink me under the table with Okanagan Springs cans. ROFL.
Even though we have a 6-letter name for our gang of friends and a fancy website, it doesn't make us any different from anyone else. We're just out to have a good time because clubbing, dancing, DJing, and friendships are about fun, not hate. There will always be hating lurking in corners. Maybe one day
they'll adjust their attitudes until then, drink beer and have fun!
