Mux 2004 Live-PA demo!

Hola folks,

I've recently completed the "audio" portion of my new 2004 demo CD - now, I gotta get the vids, mp3's and photos together and burn it all to a multimode CDROM, and figure out some sort of duplication scheme...

Anyway. The music, eight tracks of bumpin' 138bpm rave techno, is available for easy, fast download at my site:

The tunes were recorded live off the gear in one take, recorded into Logic Audio, arranged, compressed, normalized, gently mastered, and encoded as MP3's. They're a pretty accurate representation of what my current liveset is like - but that's about to change a lot, as I just got a new sequencer and sampler. :)

Heh.... MUX rave techno.

This totally reminds me of a time my friend and I were having a CMPT 150 Study Session (Introduction to Computer Design... how to build processors and whatnot) , and the midterm we were having was on a few things of which encoders, decoders and muxes were a part of.

So we post on this e-mail list we're on "MUX RAVE SHOUTOUTS!" because the first time we did a study session together we had a whole buncha house and techno and a walkman, so we was rockin' out in the comp lab whilst doing our homework, and we called it the "HC11 Rave" (because the homework mainly consisted of HC11 Assembler language).

So anyways, we post that, and Wildcard posts the following:

Noo....too complex...

Drew = Mux.
Rave = Party.
Party + Mux = Drew Playing at Party.
Mux + Hardcore = Big Flight With Bliss

...but...

Drew = In Costa Rica
Party = Too Cheap To Fly Drew Up

...but...

Wednesday = No Parties
Partys = Saturday
Saturday = Time better spent otherwise.


...but...
that means that...

Party = Cheap, Party = !Money
!Money = Saturday
!Money = Time better spend otherwise.
But since "otherwise" = anything but a party, then Time better spend
otherwise = !(Party * Time)
so...
!Money = !Party * !Time
all times (-1)
Money = Party * Time

But...
we all know that
Time = Money. So that means...
Money = Party * Time
Party * Time = Time
So Party = 1.

And that means that all money is spend on parties...
wait...

nevermind.
that checks...

So...
Party + Mux = Drew Playing at Party...
Party + Mux = Drew + Party
So
1 + Mux = Drew + 1
and Mux = Drew so...
1 + 1 = 1 + 1
cool...this is working so far...

So
Mux + Hardcore = -Bliss
1 + Hardcore = -Bliss
Hardcore = 1-Bliss

and if happiness is everything...
Bliss = everything
So Bliss = +infinity
Hardcore = 1- (+infinity)
which we can write as
Hardcore = -infinity
So hardcore is less than nothing...it's crap (hey, i proved it
mathematically, i dun want to hear any comments...)

So wrapping this up (ya i know, finally...)(i skip a few steps):
A Mux is just another way of turning everything into 1
You have better odds on making money on a wednesday than a friday
The Rave scene is nonexistant
and..
Costa Rica would make a hell of a Vacation...the only thing that could
ruin it would be a bunch of hardcore.
