Van Tek is an unknown quantity at this point
the first melody that comes in (not the wah synth) shouldn't be constant, like it is... it ought to just be one bar and then some delay at the end... sometimes less is more, you know?
sounds like the melodies are far too hectic... I sometimes have this problem... can't help but to program an entire melody out of every sound
the kick drum is nonexistant, by the way... snare drum sounds very thin as well

keep pluckin away at it... nobody ever said making music was easy, hehe

yea i still gotta phrase it and such. i just wanted to cram every melody in a 2/3 min sample to post.

true, the snare needs some compression.

and as for kick drums, I've always had difficulty with them... i dunno what frequency band they should occupy

do you mean the weird fast, techy sounding thing?

Anyways, thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated!

Interesting sorta electro-breaks.

Needs more bass of some kind for the bass junkies.

you need to do a little compression on it... that will fatten up the mix... don't worry about doing a little bit of overdriving the base even if you are working digital. Just remember if you do clean -some- of the harmonic distortion out.

Oh yea,,, transpose the second base like up by minor, and take you synth down major.

I hear about compression all the time. people say it can make or break your tune. When you say it needs more compression, do you mean run the entire mix through a compressor or jus certain instruments?
