i dont mean to shit on anyone involved but i paid 25 bucks to get in, 46 bucks on 4 drinks and at 1 the headliner wasnt in the venue and i was listening to possibly the worst blog house i have ever heard for almost 2 hours. i can stand (and even appreciate) clever remix music for a short while -- but this was ridiculous. i dont know how many 'ayo technology' remixes and 'put your hands up for detroit' remixes there were.
on top of that, i had a tab and was tipping in cash, at the end of the night when i close out the tab they regret to inform me they tacked on 15% gratuity to my bill until ive paid + a little extra. First off - thanks to all of you who waited patiently... We were basically hit with every delay that you could encounter! Frustrating as all of this stuff was totally out of our/Craze's control.
- Flight was delayed twice due to snow in Dallas, TX - Hour line-up at customs - A further line-up and delay to obtain his work permit By the time I got Craze to the club it was 1:30... the club kept things going till 3:30 so he pretty much got his full two hour set in but clearly he went on later then we all wanted him to! Again our apologies for the delay as Craze was originally supposed to be on at midnight. Thanks again for everyones support - the night was totally sold out. Rawb and anyone else with club feedback - thanks for this as I'll pass this on to Republic management... this was our first time working with the venue and we plan to do more shows in the future so all of this stuff is good to know!

edit: I take my comment back about Matty being condescending. It was merely a misinterpretation of his msg to me, he's always been a standup guy in the past. I was just pissed at one bouncer and deferred that to him because he's one of the faces on the night. There's always a dickhead bouncer at every club.

Yup, last night Craze was not good really. I got hammed somehow lol and didn't stay the whole time, but he just wasn't like I have seen him before. I didn't hear any Miami Bass or Old School Electro, not much scratching either from what I remember. Had a gang of friends there so last night was still fun!

^^ Nope... I agree in part that I have heard him play some better sets (that's entirely based on music preference - technically he was on point last night doing some wicked tricks, scratching, etc.)
Last night he played a bit of everything - B-more, Hip Hop, Miami Bass, DnB and a bit of Electro. He played till 3:30AM so some may have missed some of the stuff he was playing.

Venue - Please don't use Replubic anymore, I'm sure I'm speaking for a lot of people, but the drink prices are absolutely rediculous, and they add a gratuity fee on at the end of the night (after tipping with cash each trip to the bar). the set up sucks in there as well. better off just to stay away from that horrbile venue. Craze - Not up to par with past vancouver sets at all. I haven't been that bored in a long time. Very Disapointed.

KLEVER UPDATE...
