awesome party, killer lineups! on all the stages... 2nd room was rockin, realy enjoyed sonnychibas set hes such a kool guy too. had a great time, lookin forward to the next one!

turn out - >3000 4/10 prolly the worst one ever!
vibe - 9/10 didnt feel sketchy at all
chicks - 5.5/10 mainly cuz there wasnt that many people
dj sets - 5/10 i feel that these headlining djs play such uninspired sets in vancouver
police -1/10 way too many there
stage setup - 8/10 it was pretty cool
sound - 6/10 was loud but didnt drill songs and beats into my head

how valid are my ratings? i've been going to every party since jan 2004. and this one just didnt do it for me. i think my rating are totally valid. i've been to raves in australia (two tribes) and china (tiesto, lucca, pvd, chris lawrence, simon patterson)

POLICE: so we got there around 1130pm, my buddy (asian guy) went to the washroom in the breaks room, he comes out and some undercover white girl (blonde hair, also plays poker undercover) asked him for x, he asked her if she was a cop? she said, no. so he gave her one, no charge. then, 4 undercover cops jump his ass and spent the night in jail. alongside with 2 other white guys and 2 other asian dudes. 3 of whom only had personal use amounts 1-4 hits. and two other guys had 30+ for selling (obviously). for being a nice guy, he finished last, now he is not allowed to set foot on pne grounds and must be on good behaviour.

CHARGE: 2 counts, posession & trafficking

i must advise all party goers to be extremely careful with your candy and also to the dealers to be much more careful. if u would like to know more about my paranoid night, plz feel free to private msg me.

anyways now let me start by saying that, whoever set up the monitors/speakers did a terrible job, i wasnt feeling that euphoric feeling that trance usually gives me because all i was hearing was the distorted bass, i showed up around 12:30 ish just before breakfast was about to get on, he had a pretty dope set, but i was expecting him to play his remix of thrillseekers waiting here for you..

/agreed whole.fucking.heartedly!!!!! @#$% i too couldn't get into the trance mood what.so.ever. :( so, my fellow t.a.'ers & i just stood there the whole fucking time resisting the urge to leave & trying to make the best of the situation. you can't dance to just bass, no matter what a raver kid tells you. :P

i wish i stuck around to see what sean tyas's set was like. but unfortunately, by the time ferry corsten had finished, i simply could not tolerate the distortion anymore. jesus motherfucking christ! so, i went to see the global dee jays finish. hah. i haven't heard that san francisco track in AGES. it made me feel funkyyyy. i heard a few "west coast rap" remixes as well. those were really neat. :)

& anjunaaaaa! :love: i didn't see your shirt, which is surprising. 'cause i can spot the word anjuna from 1,000,000 miles away. xD

& yea. you're correct in saying that it wasn't that full in there. i've noticed that w/ every subsequent p.n.e. rave i go to, there is less of an attendance there each time. teh kiddies are growing up. :o

UPDATE: legal aid denied, assets worth over 5k. hiring laywer to fight off these 2 charges, $5000 minimum.

DIRTY FUCKIN' VPD: documents finally released to my friend and his laywer on court hearing date, police added an extra $100 in $5 & $10 bills to his report. also, the undercover cop's statement is totaly different to what really happened at the event. she now claims, he was soliciting drugs and accepted the money. money of which the VPD marked the serial numbers just in case the dealers ever got caught.

END RESULT: facing jail time, 4 hits of E???

WHY ARE COPS DIRTY?: they need to make quota. most of them have messy lives from their daily routine, multiple divorces, need to make extra cash, etc. corruption is among us.

i am fuckin furious! if any VPD is reading my post, there is a very special place for you in hell! it is not too late to change, God will forgive you.

i know it was my friend's stupidity for giving that one hit of E away. but after this whole incident, i will no longer attend parties, and will urge my 100 other party friends to boycott this shit also. its sad and really too bad.

i havnt posted anythign about this, but the same thing happened to me over a year now, and im still dealing with the repercussions of it. ie comunity service, p.o. drug tests...i had one tab on me and i didnt even wanna pop, so i got convicted of being a drug trafficker b/c i waz just being a nice guy...now im banned from the states etc etc... the moral of the story, if sumone asks u for sumthing at a rave, tell'em to F' oFF!.. i can obviuosly understand how pissed u are, but i dont think the answer is boycotting the parties tho.. the promoteres etc have nothing to do with undercovers being there
