Solid Nye Timeslots
Hey Everyone,
Due to the hockey rink not being able to be removed, the limited amount of policing, and fire exits available on New Years Eve. We had to cut out one of our stages. As a result, some of the locals had to be cancelled. For those locals that are not on the list or lineup, please PM or email me. You will still have your you+1 for the event. stupid thing about them not taking out the ice is, if they put boards or mats on the ice so we can go on it it's going to destroy the ice anyways and they'll have to spend just as much time fixing it afterwards
It might actually have been easier in the long run to take the ice out

C'mon people, you don't actually think they take the ice out every time they have a concert or something else in there between hockey games. Taking the ice out and putting it back in along with painting all the lines and graphics on the ice takes several days. All they do is lay down a rubber insulated floor to keep the ice cold, and then put another type of flooring for us to walk on. I doubt the main stage would be the one being cancelled, I couldn't imagine having the big trance dj's in any of the other rooms.

It's understandable to find out time slots late. but solid must have had an idea that the rink was available a lot earlier than the night of. I wonder if it'll be overly packed, or not full at all due to high ticket prices. I'm upset that I found out that the 4th stage was cancelled right now and not weeks ago. I would've made evening plans to hang out with my g/f instead of waiting till the very last minute. And I bet the dj's won't be compensated for their time. What a good laugh. Victor you're right. We shouldn't have to come to this forum to find out if we've been cancelled (let alone booked in the first place). Well, it's time to roll with the punches.
