I can answer two of those questions:

Question 1 - why no DnB - Everytime you book ANY DnB at Maritime, it clears the fucking room. Case and point - Matt the Alien at the last show. The dude is a fucking legend and extremely good at what he does yet he cleared the room.

Question 3 - Why do I play a lot of (not every) raves? -- Because I love to RAVE OK? Pffft.

Whatever fuck nuts... I play a lot of un-released tunes that are sent to me or tunes that I dig up from elsewhere... I love digging as I'm sure all the other heads do.

In a genre where maybe 2-4 decent tracks (if that) are released each week, you are bound to play the same track as another breaks DJ. It doesn't mean you're not original.

Dude seriously... lame come back if you call it that. I haven't played that track out in awhile, in fact it's outta my bag.

Do I like the track, yes... But if I'm playing in a club and I think it's the right time to play it and I want to play it, I will... plain and simple. A big part of DJ'ing is reading the crowd and keeping the floor busy. I love to do it, I'm paid to do it so fucking rights I'll play Push-Up if the time is right.

Thats not true, Sinful has gotten some DnB flavour, aswell as other parties and clubs that make sure to keep the vibe alive...common now, lets not rag on DnB and how it belongs in smaller parties.

DnB has been booked numerous times before and rarely does well at several parties at Maritime and simply doesn't pull. As Bitchin mentioned, DnB heads go to clubs and DnB-based parties, not general raves unless their is other talent there they want to see.

Example:
Our last show w/Benny Benassi featured Matt the Alien
Previous to that was Dabbler vs. Manos One
Previous to that was Soda
Previous to that was Ill-Esha and others @ Spank

Not once during those DnB sets was that room as busy as it would be with Breaks or House. It's sad really because as a promoter, in that venue specifically, it makes you not want to book DnB talent which is probably the case here with the show on Saturday.

Nice work on Sully and Flawless, I'm sure they will do it up right and I hope with the awesome promotion you peeps have done, that you have some wicked DnB support!
